Banner Committee
Artisans who develop the liturgical themes within our church.

Church Cleaning Committee
Parishioners who perform weekly light housekeeping of our church interior.

Eucharistic Ministers
Distributors of Communion at weekend and daily parish Masses, and to homebound or hospitalized parishioners.

Gift Bearers
Presenters of gifts of bread and wine during the offertory of the Mass.  We urge our families to participate as a unit in this activity.

Greeters Committee
Parishioners dedicated to a spirit of hospitality and welcoming to our liturgies and parish functions.

Lectors
Proclaimers of the Word of God who read the Scriptures for the assembly during the Liturgy of the Word.

Music Ministries
Those who help to lead the community in praise of God through music for a variety of liturgical functions through-out the year.

• Cantors – Leaders of liturgical song.
• Children’s Choir – Student singers in grades fourth through eighth.
• Contemporary Choir – Liturgical singers accompanied by piano and guitar.
• Men’s Choir, Women’s Choir, Mixed Adult Choir –Singing members are of high school age through adulthood.
• Musicians- Organists, pianists, guitarists, trumpeters, flutists, and other instrumentalists who lead our choirs and cantors in songs of worship and praise.

Prayer and Liturgy Committee
Parishioners dedicated to the development of our parish liturgies, sacraments and prayer service.

Ushers
Individuals who assist parishioners to be seated and are responsible for the Offertory collection.

Religious Education

Adult Education Programs
Holy Name provides for an ongoing variety of adult learning opportunities in areas such as sacraments, scripture, spirituality and social justice issues in the 
Church.

Faith Sharing Groups
Parishioners who meet in small groups, in home or parish settings, to prayerfully reflect on scripture readings and to share personal faith stories.

Marriage Preparation Teams
Groups of married couples responsible for a one-day presentation of topics relative to Christian Marriage.  Groups of sponsor couples who provide a five-part, home  based, personal instruction to couples preparing to celebrate the sacrament of marriage.

Parish Lending Library
Volunteers who maintain the various books, videos, cassettes and magazine publications available to all parishioners in the Church Library Room.

RCIA Team (Christian Initiation of Adults)
Teachers of candidates and catechumens preparing for full communion in the Catholic faith, and parish sponsors who function as friends, witnesses, and during the period of preparation for celebration of the Easter mysteries.

Religious Education Teachers (CCD)

Sacramental Preparation
Individuals who help the coordinator of religious education to prepare candidates for the sacraments of Baptism, First Penance, Confirmation and the Eucharist.

Holy Name School Organizations

Athletic Association
Parishioners who provide financial assistance and organizational support for the athletic program of Holy Name School.

Home School Association
Administration, faculty, parents and guardians united to enhance all educational programs at Holy Name School.

School Sports Coaches
Persons involved in the coaching of basketball, football, soccer, cheerleading and girls volleyball, as well as forensics, reading competition, and other activities associated with Holy Name School

School Volunteers
Interested volunteers who provide services for a myriad of activities, such as: cafeteria volunteers, office helpers, library assistants, homeroom assistants and general purpose volunteers.

Parish Advisory Committees

Cemetery Committee
Appointed individuals responsible for overseeing the proper care and maintenance of the cemetery grounds and buildings.

Education Committee
Appointed individuals who address the fiscal and personnel concerns of Holy Name School.

Finance Committee
Appointed individuals with financial expertise who assist the Pastor in all fiscal matters including income, expenditures and investments.

"Spread The Word" Information Committee
Volunteers working to spread the word and educate our parishioners and the general public about the programs and activities at Holy Name which support and promote our faith.

Parish Council
Our primary parish advisory committee of elected and appointed members whose main focus is to assist the Pastor in nurturing the spiritual life and growth of the parish.

Property and Grounds Committee
Appointed individuals responsible for managing the proper care, preventive maintenance, and improvements encompassing all church properties and buildings.

Stewardship Committee
Promoters of the biblical concept of stewardship as a way of life which involves the sharing of time, talent and treasure for the honor and glory of God.

Youth Involvement and Ministry
Parishioners seeking to ensure that our young people have opportunities for involvement in parish life and activities.

Special Needs

Bereavement Committee
Parish volunteers who give of their time by serving a luncheon to family, relatives and friends of the deceased. (Personal bereavement support ministry is offered through our Visitation/Outreach Committee.)

Intercessory Prayer Chain
An intercessory prayer telephone chain dedicated to praying, from their homes, for the needs of others, such as health concerns, accident, or any special circumstances.

Kindred Journey (Haiti Mission)
Holy Name is committed to twinning with a parish in the Pandiassou region of Haiti, by providing financial, moral and prayerful support to the poor living there.

St. Vincent DePaul Society
The Holy Name Conference operates a Food Pantry and Thrift Store.  Seeing the face of Christ in our hurting neighbor, we offer food, clothing, financial and medical assistance, shelter for transients and other charitable services.

Visitation/Outreach Committee
Volunteers responsible for coordinating the implementation of the Corporal Works of Mercy.  Its focus is directed primarily towards those who are unable to participate fully in parish life and worship.

Caregivers Support Group

This parish based support group meets every other month to support and encourage one another in the task of care-giving. If you are caring for the needs of a family member, relative or friend, feel welcome to attend this gathering. The hour includes conversation, prayer and sharing of helpful information. Social Action

Catholic Daughters of America
Organization of Catholic women from our region whose purpose is to participate in the religious, charitable and educational apostolates of the Church.

Knights of Columbus
Organization of Catholic men dedicated to the principles of charity, unity and fraternity by participating in religious, family and civic affairs.

Pro-Life Committee
Volunteers devoted to praying for and promoting the sanctity of every human life by addressing all life issues.

APEX Youth Group
Secondary school students who participate in religious and social group activities.

Church Fund Raisers

Banquet Committee
Volunteers who assist at catered events sponsored by the parish.

Festival Committee
Volunteers comprised of hundreds of parishioners of all ages dedicated to the production of our annual, family-oriented festival held the first weekend in June.
